ReplyDeleteI ended this program. I ended swinging the 24kg for the first 3 sets then the 16kg one arm 25/25 for the 50 swings. I just started getting a dread factor! Too much time for me in the morning - I was at about 30ish min. taking 1:30ish rests between rounds and EWR between sets. I am starting a Lauren Brooks strength program today - it should be about 20 min of work - best for me during the school year. Your stats look good! and more power to you doing the 50 swings with the 20kg! :) I look forward to seeing what you do next! :)
Hi Nadine - Same here!! I decided after slogging through Sunday's workout not to continue. Serious dread...yes. I feel like I broke through a strength plateau with the 20kg by 5000 swings anyway. Is the program you're starting on Lauren's site?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try to swing the 24kg bell for 200-300 reps each workout, and do some fun interval/circuit stuff. I liked AfterBurn. I also found a youtube channel called BeFit that has a bunch of free workouts that fall into the 20 minute range.

I did actually buy Lauren's BeSlam program, but I ended up starting this program instead http://www.strongfirst.com/strength-through-female-eyes-2/. So far I am enjoying it, particularly since it's 20 min per workout!! And I liked DL'ing again! I also am adding 300 swings at the end of the workout just to keep up :) I am doing one arm swings with the 16kg 20r/20l -http://tracysfoodandthought.blogspot.com/2011/08/progressive-rest-ladder-my-new-favorite.html till I hit 300

I think I saw program on the Strong First site. I'll be interested to hear how you like it. You get to DL, NICE! I forgot about that progressive rest ladder. We are so on the same page. HA! :)
